Essential Questions

1. How do interpersonal and employability skills effect your everyday life and your future? Interpersonal skills are absolutely essential to everyday life. Whether one is languishing away on the internet or trekking through traffic outside, people, collectively, are accurately described as a social animal and crave the attention of others. Meanwhile, employability is the candidacy of a person who is likely to be employed thus directly effects everyday life and one's future. Interpersonal skills help to ease the rigors of sociability which leads into employability and since employment is not only restricted to experience and skill but also incorporates the need for good sociability, employability and interpersonal skills go hand-in-hand to secure one's future.
2. What is graphic design and why is it important to communicate visually? Every great period of history was inducted through the introduction of a few key components that, when refined, changed the world dramatically for better or worse. The Information age hailed with the introduction of the home computer and further flourished when the concept of the internet was found to be a huge success. Now, nearly every major civilization can have access to the internet through a port key we call the computer. However, a computer is a simplistic machine and interprets data as a series of on-off switches that, when properly configured, can display a wide variety of images or information. Graphic design is the area of expertise that specializes in displaying these images or information in a way that is pleasing to the eye, usually accomplished with the help of a simplified IDE. The displaying of images has overtaken any other form of of communication by a significant landslide and it is only fitting that one learns how to properly utilize a tool that has become so prevalent in daily life.
3. Why is it important to identify safety issues and to safely operate equipment utilized in the classroom? Various chemicals and equipment used in class are harmful if put in use improperly. The avoidance of accidental harm can best be achieved if one is made aware of the circumstances that could potentially cause these chemicals or equipment to become hazardous.
